This is one tough SUV ! Over 200k miles and still running very strong. Just shows that if you keep up with routine maintenance oil,plugs wires and filters that any vehicle can last a long time ! - 5.0

I have been the only owner/driver of this vehicle. Original engine w/410000 miles - shooting to hit 500000!! This truck is not replaceable!! Wish they still made this truck with the same engine!! - 5.0

MY '97 TAHOE HAS BEEN AND CONTINUES TO BE THE BEST VEHICLE I HAVE EVER OWNED. I HAVE HAVE OWNED THIS PARTICULAR VEHICLE NEARLY 10 YEARS AND IT LOOKS GOOD, RUNS VERY WELL COMFORTABLY & QUIETLY ON THE OPEN ROAD. IT'S A BOSS OFF-ROAD, EASILY NAVIGATING OLD LOGGING ROADS CRISS-CROSSING MY MOUNTAINOUS PROPERTY IN NW NORTH CAROLINA BLUE RIDGE MOUNTAINS. "THE BEAST" NEVER FAILED TO GET US WHERE WE NEEDED TO GO - DAY IN DAY OUT. - EVEN AFTER HURRICANE SANDY BROUGHT MONSOON-LIKE RAINS FOR 3 DAYS THAT EVOLVED INTO A BLIZZARD, DUMPING SEVERAL FEET OF SNOW THAT LASTED OVER A WEEK AT OUR ELEVATION. THOUGH MUCH OF OUR COUNTY WAS PARALYZED, WE WERE ABLE TO GET AROUND WELL ENOUGH TO GO ANYWHERE OR DO ANYTHING WE NEEDED TO DO. HAVING 7 PASSENGER CAPACITY WAS A GAME WHEN ASSISTING OTHERS IN THE AREA GET NEEDED SUPPLIES, ETC., WHO WERE NOT SO WELL EQUIPPED. OUR 1997 TAHOE HAS NEVER FAILED TO DELIVER DEPENDABLE, POWEREFUL PERFORMANCE - EVEN IN THE MOST RUGGED ENVIRONMENTS AND DEMANDING CONDITIONS. PLUS, WITH IT'S TALL STANCE, TOUGH TRUCK EXTERIOR AND MODERATELY LUXURIOUS & VERY COMFORTABLE INTERIOR WITH ALL THE PREREQUISITE AM ENTITIES INCLUDING AN AWESOME SOUND SYSTEM, THE 1997 TAHOE HAS BECOME THE IVONIC FLAGSHIP VEHICLE OF ITS BRAND AND GENRE. 5 STARS.
